Code of Conduct and Coalition Information

1. Players wishing to apply to be members of The Impossibles family of super hero/villain groups must have at least 1 hero/villain of their own creation of at least security/threat level 20 and must complete the application process as laid out by the organization.

2. Any member who had left The Impossibles on good terms may be readmitted without the need to reapply. If there is no room in The Impossibles at that time the ex-member will be placed at the top of the waiting list. Allowance of repeated re-admittances in excess of 3 times may be subject to review by the officers and Co-Leaders.

3. A player’s main hero must be in The Impossibles and/or a player's main villain must be in The Forsaken (A player may change which character is their main). Alternate heroes and villains may be in Impossibles alt super hero/villain groups (1 per group), which are set up for that purpose. A member of The Impossibles family of super groups may not have a character belonging to any super hero/villain group not directly associated with The Impossibles unless permitted by the leader given special circumstances. The number and names of the associate super groups will be managed by the officers and leader as appropriate. Any character that is a member of an Impossibles alt super group should be entered in The Impossibles Hero Registry.

4. Membership may be refused or terminated if a character applying for membership into The Impossibles family or a character in an Impossibles family SG/VG is determined to be inappropriate in accordance with the NCSoft Name Policy and/or EULA. Applicants/Members whose characters are found to be in violation of the NCSoft Name Policy and/or EULA will be contacted and given reasonable time to rectify the violation prior to membership refusal or termination.

5. Membership may be refused or terminated if a player is determined to be under the age of 13 in accordance with the T (Teen) ESRB rating that CoH/CoV carries.

6. Rude or offensive behavior, personal attacks, harassment, flaming, or spamming will not be tolerated. Use of so called '133+ 5p34k' (leet speak), or a complete and utter disregard for proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization, or spelling is severely frowned upon. Communication and consideration are important; not taking the time to use proper English implies a lack of respect to the person or people you're talking to.

7. If a member will not be in game for more than 10 days, then they must post a leave of absence on the Leave of Absence (LoA) forum. If their main character has not been in game for longer than 10 days and no LoA was posted they will be declared Absent with out Leave (AWoL). Having assumed the member no longer wishes to remain in The Impossibles the AWoL characters will be removed from the super hero/villain groups.

8. Whenever a vote is called it will be executed via forum poll. All current members may vote and will have two days from the opening of the poll to cast their vote. Majority percentage required for the vote to pass depends on the nature of the vote called. All majority results are of total voters not of total members.

9. Any member may propose a new rule or a change to an existing rule. A two-thirds majority of votes cast is required to add or change a rule. The Co-Leaders have the right to veto.

10. Co-Leaders (three Co-Leaders of equal authority) will be in office for a term of 6 months after which all current members of The Impossibles will either confirm the current Co-Leaders, assuming the Co-Leaders desire to keep their positions, or confirm new Co-Leaders nominated from amongst the current officers by the current Co-Leaders. Confirmation requires a simple majority vote. Failure to receive a confirmation will lead to general elections. There is no limit to the number of terms served by Co-Leaders. Co-Leaders may set officer positions, select members to serve as officers in those positions, and change those officers serving at will. Ex-Leaders and Ex-Co-Leaders retain their officer status unless they leave the game for a significant period of time and return.

11. Any member that has been in The Impossibles for at least 6 months may call for a leadership review at any time by posting a forum vote. A three-quarters majority vote of no confidence will result in the immediate end of the current Co-Leader(s) term(s) followed by a general election. A Co-Leader removed from office in such a fashion will not retain their officer status though they may be selected to serve as an officer by subsequent Co-Leaders.
General Election process:
A. Upon the announcement of a successful no confidence vote (two days after the vote is called for), there shall be a period of two days for all current members to nominate Co-Leader candidates. The candidates must be seconded and approved (two additional members must be in agreement). The individual nominated may opt not to be nominated at any time.
B. After two days, all approved nominations shall be placed on a ballot for an open vote.
C. After two days of voting, the nominee with the most votes shall be declared the new Co-Leader. In a case where 2 or 3 Co-Leaders are being voted for simultaneously, the nominee’s with the second and/or third highest votes shall be declared the new Co-Leaders.

Impossibles Coalition Policy

A Coalition between the Impossibles (and/or the Forsaken) and other Coalition Members is to increase the opportunites for members to expand their social circle with other like-minded groups. The primary benefit would be to develop more teaming opportunites as well as to share in the wealth of knowledge presented by our peers in the Pinnacle Community for the strength and health of all of our Super Groups. In this policy, the term Coalition Member shall refer to a Super Group or Villain Group which has entered into a Coalition Agreement with the Impossibles and/or the Forsaken groups.

This process will institute the use of a current tool available to all players of the "City of" Franchise in the form of the Coaltion Channel, which as a tool is not required by any member nor should it's use be considered mandatory nor compulsory.

The Co-Leaders and Officers are obligated to research and evaluate potential Coalition Members. This includes potential Coalition Members that contact us as well as enabling us to seek other like-minded groups. Once an initial decision is made between the Co-Leaders and Officers, the new Coalition Member will enter into an Applicant process to enable all current members of the Impossibles an opportunity to evaluate the new Coalition Member through the use of our Applicant Forum wherein each new Coalition Member will receive a thread allowing for current active members to post reviews in the same process as an individual applicant to the Impossibles. In this thread, contact information for the Coalition Member will be made available including website/forum location and the names of Officers and/or prominent members. At the same time, our members should expect to be evaluated by other Coalition Members to determine if our groups are compatible.

At no longer than 21 Days from the notice of a new Coalition Member which shall be posted in the Announcements and Member's Handbook forum, the Coalition Member's Applicant thread shall be reviewed and a final vote will be issued for all members to participate in, with a Seven Day Period. In the event of a questionable Coalition Member, the negative reviews will receive more attention than the positive reviews and will significantly impact any decisions made towards the acceptance of a Coalition Member. To reflect this, Approval of a Coalition Member will require a 2/3 majority or higher.

At any point in the relationship between a Coalition Member, perceived transgressions should be brought to the attention of an Impossibles Co-Leader or Officer at the earliest opportunity, either through an in-game tell or through a Private Message on the Impossibles Forum. Upon an initial transgression, we will contact the responsible party's Leader and inform them of the situation allowing for their own group to resolve the issue immediately. If such dysfunctional behavior continues, a Coalition Member Review will be instituted by a Forum Vote posted by a Co-Leader. A simple majority decision will result in the immediate termination of a Coalition Member. The Co-Leaders also reserve the right to terminate any Coalition Member in the interests and welfare of the Super Group.

The institution of the Coalition between groups will enable members to access another Chat Channel in a similar manner as Broadcast, Request, Arena, Local, Super Group, or Friends. This Chat Channel (which will be identified by the Coalition label) in its current design will allow members in super groups to freely communicate only between other members that share the same Coalition. Members will not receive any Chat messages from a Group that is not in a Coalition with the Impossibles. Members may still receive some portions of a conversation between a Coalition Member and a group that is in a Coalition with them but not us. This is an inherent flaw in the current system.

Coalition Members will have access to other Coalition Member's Bases for the purposes of using Zone Teleporters. No storage bins, salvage tables, or other items of functionality will be accessible to any character not in that respective Super/Villain Group.

For use of "The Impossibles" Global chat channel, use of the letter C in our established team format shorthand will enable members to identify teams that are comprised of Coalition Members outside of The Impossibles. For example, "3HC@30, 3 slots" would denote 3 Heroes with Coalition Members at Level 30 mobs with three sidekick/exemplar slots available.

Scheduled Events will still retain the emphasis of the Impossibles Super Group and will continue to prioritize (in order) Impossibles Members, Impossibles Applicants, Coalition Members, and at the Event Host's discretion, Pick-Ups.

"Coalition Central" Global Channel Policy

The Global Channel “Coalition Central” is being provided to help our members find a trusted team from among our Coalition Members. As this channel has the potential to reach many players, these are some guidelines which are in the best interest of everyone participating.

This Channel is reserved for full members of our Groups, so we do request that applicants not receive a channel invitation until they are accepted by their respective Group. Usage nor membership is not required by any member of any Group. This is a purely optional channel for interested members. As times do get slow, it's better to have a friend than a pick up group.

Future Groups will be admitted based upon a consensus among the leadership of the active Groups of the channel.

This is intentionally set as a private channel, with each participating Group managing the invitations and removal of their members from the channel. Also, this channel intentionally has a low number of Operators, with each group's Highest Ranking members sharing the responsibility. Channel Operators have the right and obligation to enforce channel rules on all members, regardless of their Group affiliation. Operators can silence anyone causing problems or otherwise being inappropriate and report the incident to their respective Group leadership.

Try to keep discussions mature, or at least reasonable. We understand the benefits of having a social outlet available, but your chats do also have a much larger audience than normal and humor doesn't necessarily translate well over the internet. A little bit of common sense will go far. We request that the topics of sex, drugs, illegal activities, politics and religion be avoided. Also, retain some respect for others' choices of Archetypes and Powersets.

As the primary purpose of this channel is to also help our members find teams, a handy method to find or announce a team is the following method. Number of players on the team and affiliation, at level of mobs with number of sidekick/exemplar spots available. For example "4v@34, 2 spots" would translate to "Four villains fighting level 34 mobs, with 2 lackey/malefactor spots available". Feel free to add extra info to this basic formula, such as "AVs", "Badging", "Floor Inspecting", “PUG”, etc.
